Talent on demand...
Kiersten had a talent show - she sang and danced hip hop. She got up to the mic for a song and I looked at Leila and said "Can Kiersten sing?"
"I dunno" came the reply.
Roo sang. And it was fabulous. The kid behind me gasped in "oooh, aaahhh" astonishment a couple times. Who new?
Then Roo danced with her friend Tatiana. Really good stuff - designed from pieces the stole from the dance class Rachel and Roo take at Moorpark, and youtube videos.
By the way, as we headed to the talent show, I asked Leila if she had the video camera. "I told you to get it" she retorted. Doh.

I got an hour to myself...
I don't know how it happened. I was slammed all day Saturday (leila was gone)... Gym, VO lessons, Kalin at Moorpark, feeding kids, shopping, washing and gassing car, Kiersten's talent show... All the kids were occupied. No one needed me for a brief instant in time. Somehow, I managed to get an hour to myself... What could I do - for free - that would entertain me...
Well... I test drove a 370Z for starters. Highly Disappointing. All plastic and cheap on the inside. It looked like the designed it for a 15 year old video game nerd. Sure, it had 332 Hp, but it felt like I was going to destroy the engine, like I was making it do things it wasn't supposed to do. This was no german car.
Then... Oh baby... I drove an 09 BMW M3 - Its like my car on steroids. $75,000 of pure andrenalized bliss. Perfection on wheels. Thou more taut than my 330i, it was smoother, more refined - and yet a bloody rocket. I'm in love. A flawless feat of German engineering.
And after I washed my car, I was in love with her again too.... I'm a simple, testosterone driven creature.

Kalin - Discovery Day
I took Kalin to Discovery Day at Moorpark College as part of Kalin's Childhood development class. Monica Zierenberg loaned us her 3 year old Caleb, who came complete with an automated diaper changer, Jacob.

We love garlic.
My boss walked into my bay and told me it was a hostile work environment, and told me if he was my kid, he'd run away from home.
Here he is seen sniffing a candle to mask the delicious aroma filtering through my pores...
